The main objective of this report is to inform member states of the Lusaka MULPOC of the progress made so far in the preparation of the feasibility study for the establishment of agricultural commodity exchanges in Eastern and Southern Africa. The report aims in particular at setting out the conceptual framework within which the study s is being carried out, reviewing what has been achieved so far and indicating the stages left prior to the completion of the study and the actual setting up of the proposed commodity exchanges.
