Mission report: macro-economic framework for national income data projections and analysis of seychelles

Abstract

In compliance with the request of the Director-General of the Management and Information System Division (MISD) of the Ministry of Administration and Manpower (MAM) of Seychelles, an advisory mission, consisting of Messrs M.O. El-Egaily, Senior Economic Affairs Officer and W.A. Ndongko, Senior Regional Adviser, both of the Economic and Social Policy Division of UNECA, undertook a mission to Seychelles from 22 May to 5 June 1997. During the period of the mission, the members worked primarily with the senior staff members of the MISD. Visits to some major ministries and agencies such as the Indian Ocean Tuna, Central Bank of Seychelles, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Environment were arranged by MISD. The mission benefited greatly from the exchange views with the senior government officials and many economists and extremely grateful to all of them.
