The importance of studies on spatial distribution of the population, urbanization, internal migration is well known. These studies deserve high priority because their findings have many bearings on questions of programming in the economic and social fields. Policy making on such important studies as the location of industry, population settlement, and resettlement, urban development planning; "balanced" development of economic sectors, education and training programmes, location of economic inpartmenture etc, stem from those studios and their immediate results, area population projections.
