Résumé
This study addresses the factors which will continue to influence the development of education into the 21st Century, as well as analyze the major constraints and challenges to the reorientation of education for sustained development. The study argues that Africa's challenges are four pronged viz: economic growth; sustainable human development; building critical capacities for the region's development; and achieving peace, stability and nation building.
