Report of the preparatory meeting on youth and development
Résumé
The Preparatory Meeting on Youth and Development was sponsored by the Organization of African Unity (OAU). It was jointly organized by the OAU, the Pan-African Youth Movement (PYM) and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UN ECA), in close collaboration with the Government of the Republic of Benin and the International Labour Organization (ILO). The main purpose of the Meeting was to prepare for a Regional Conference on Youth to be convened in early 1995 to mark the end of decade since the observance of 1985 as the International Youth Year (IYY) on the theme "Participation, Development and Peace".
