The United Nations Trust Fund for African Development (UNTFAD), established by the SCA Conference of Ministers at Kinshasa in 1975, came into operation at the Pledging Conference of African Government Plenipotentiaries which was held at Lagos, Nigeria, from 26 to 29 April 1977.
