Abstract
The Commission left it to the participating countries to consider and to decide which of the various facets of road motor vehiole legislation should be studied with a view to regional unification. However, having regard to the analytical data on do mestic and international road transport brought forward, in, jfche rstudy.^Transport Problems in Relation to.Soonomio Development in West Africa" (e/cn.14/63), it is clear, that a rather broad inter pretation must be placed on the expression "vehicle legislation" used in Resolution No. 32 (ill). In addition, the emphasis must be on the technical and economic aspects of such legislation if the aims of standardization and administrative' coordination of road transport are to be achieved.
