ECA programme of external trade statistics

Abstract

On several oooasions the need for an improvement of external trade statistics in Africa has been directly or indirectly expressed by the Economic Commission for Afrioa. Tho importance attached by the Commission to such .matters as the terms of trade of African countries, the impaot of European groupings on African trade, et ootera, is reflected in a number of resolu tions adopted at tho last two sessions (see in particular resolutions Nos. 25, 28, 29 and 30 in document E/CNa4/STAT/L.9).
