Abstract
The unified approach to development analysis and planning stresses the interrelationships and interdependence of social and economic growth rather than relying on the latter as the major thrust of development planning .It proposes a style of development planning which involves increased participation of the population in the development process and aims at the maximum development of human as well as physical potentials. A development strategy which produces privileged classes and extremes of wealth and social inequalities on the economic growth is ho longer acceptable.
