This brief secretariat note on Africa’s preparation and participation in the eight sessions of the United Nations Confernce on Trade and Development (UNCTAD VIII) highlights various stages and levels of the African negotiating process. Some how the analysis is constrained by two factors: first the rescheduling of the time for holding UNCTAD VIII in Colombia February 1992:second conclusion of the Uruguay round multilateral trade negotiations (MTNs) no being available.
