The Second United Nations Transport and Communications Decade in Africa : UNTACDA II, 1991-2000 : first mid-term evaluation

Abstract

The second United Nations Transport and Communications Decade in Africa (UNTACDA II) is program designed to mobilize all African countries and their relevant inter-governmental organizations, the United Nations system and external support agencies for concerted action in the development of transport and communications systems in Africa over the last decade of this millennium.The program provides framework for all partners to co-ordinate their individual interventions and to create an enabling environment in which their efforts would yield the best results.
