The objectives of the training workshop is to explore the scope and structural prerequisites for expanding popular participation in all aspects of development based on the experience that only the broad involvement of the people can engender socially, economically as well as environmentally and politically sustainable structures and desirable results;and, most importantly, to propose how to increase the effectiveness and influence of civil society organisations at all levels of policy-making, implementation and monitoring.
