Abstract
This presentation outlines the institutional investor consortium model aimed at mobilizing private capital to finance the development of economies within the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU). It introduces MiDA Advisors, a global advisory firm specializing in facilitating institutional investments in Africa, and highlights the consortium's objectives, governance framework, and membership structure. The model seeks to address the region's infrastructure development needs by aligning local stakeholders towards common investment goals, promoting diversification, and enhancing collaboration among institutional investors. The presentation also discusses the consortium's potential to catalyze foreign investment, support local economic development, and provide above-market returns for its members. Key principles of governance and project selection criteria are outlined, emphasizing the importance of sustainable and impactful investments. The presentation concludes with a call for partnerships and coalitions to strengthen the consortium's capacity and effectiveness in driving economic growth in the WAEMU region.
