Integrated national financing frameworks and the attainment of the sustainable development goals

Abstract

This policy brief discusses the role of integrated national financing frameworks (INFFs) in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa. It highlights the importance of leveraging domestic and international resources, outlines the four building blocks of INFFs, and emphasizes the need for effective resource mobilization, economic governance, and institutional coordination. The brief also provides policy recommendations to enhance the implementation of INFFs, including strengthening data infrastructure and investing in the capacities of revenue and oversight authorities.
