Report of the Committee on Economic Governance on the work of its second session
Abstract
This report summarizes the second session of the Committee on Economic Governance, held on 16 and 17 November 2024 in Addis Ababa. The session focused on macroeconomics, development planning, economic governance, and financing for sustainable development in Africa. Key topics included domestic resource mobilization, illicit financial flows, and reforms of the global financial architecture. The Committee elected a new Bureau for 2024–2026 and discussed priorities for the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development. The report highlights the Committee's recommendations for improving tax administration, enhancing digitalization, and strengthening economic governance to achieve sustainable development goals.
