This study analyzes the determinants of Uganda's nominal effective exchange rate (NEER) from 2000 to 2017 using Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and Vector Autoregression (VAR) approaches. Key findings indicate that money supply, terms of trade, and inflation negatively impact the exchange rate, while gross domestic product and interest rates have a positive effect. The study highlights the importance of anti-inflationary policies and controlled money supply to stabilize the exchange rate.en
