dc.description.abstractThe 2020 World Population and Housing Census Programme recognizes censuses as one of the primary sources of the data needed to formulate, implement and monitor policies and programmes aimed at inclusive social and economic development and environmental sustainability. Population and housing censuses are an important source of the disaggregated data needed to measure progress in the implementation of national development plans, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want, of the African Union.en
