Progress report on the work of the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning

Abstract

The present progress report is being submitted to the Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development during the fifty-fifth session of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), in accordance with current practices and in response to its request for regular updates on the work of the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP). The report contains a summary of the work of the Institute between April 2022 and March 2023 and highlights of the key results achieved by the Institute, in particular regarding the implementation of its training programmes, its knowledge generation and knowledge dissemination activities, the latest developments relating to its human and financial resources, and the partnerships it has established. The report concludes with an outline of the prospects for 2023.
