Replies to the questionnaire on the location of the African centre for monetary studies

Abstract

The participants in the second meeting of the Study Group of the Association of African Central Banks held at ECA headquarters in Addis Ababa from 24 to 28 June 1974 discussed the establishment of the headquarters of the .African Centre for Monetary Studies and the criteria to be, taken into account in determining its location. They agreed on a questionnaire to be Bent to African Governments through their respective central banks members of the Association. On the questionnaire Governments were asked to state whether or not they would be willing to host the Centre, to indicate whether they would be prepared to grant certain concessions and immunities to the Centre and its .staff /and to furnish information on a few practical matters pertaining to the smooth operation of the Centre, In a covering letter, Governors-and Presidents of banks members of the Association were requested to return the completed questionnaire to the secretariat of the Association (ECA) by mid-September 1974.
