COVID-19 Situation Report: 30 August 2021

Abstract

Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) update. 30 August 2021: Ethiopia reported 693 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 306,810 confirmed cases as of 30 August 2021. A total of 4,660 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.52%. 276,078 (90.0%) cases have recovered, however 924 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 693 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 5,345 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 3,230,986 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. Global: 216,303,376 new cases; 4,498,451 deaths and case fatality. Africa: 7,763,616 new cases; 195,475 deaths and case fatality.
