Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) update. 08 August 2021. 23 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 128 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 278,233 confirmed cases as of 23 July 2021. A total of 4,365 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 262,750 (94.5%) cases have recovered, however 215 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 166 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 5,543 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,976,312 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 11,116 total active cases and 58 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global:192,284,207 cases; 4,136,518 deaths and case fatality. Africa: 6,415,762 new cases; 162,883 deaths and case fatality.
