Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) update. 22 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 146 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 278,105 confirmed cases as of 22 July 2021. A total of 4,363 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 262,692 (94.5%) cases have recovered, however 223 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 160 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 4,632 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,970,769 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 11,048 total active cases and 104 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global: 191,773,590 new cases; 4,127,963 deaths and case fatality. Africa: 6,3774,393 new cases; 161,638 deaths and case fatality.
