Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update. 18 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 81 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 277,696 confirmed cases as of 18 July 2021. A total of 4,357 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 262,314 (94.5%) cases have recovered, however 229 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 133 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 4,102 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,955,540 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 11,023 total active cases and 49 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global: 189,921,964 new cases; 4,088,281 deaths and case fatality. Africa: 6,236,745 new cases; 157,967 deaths and case fatality.
