COVID-19 Situation Report: 15 July 2021

Abstract

Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update. 15 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 125 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 277,443 confirmed cases as of 15 July 2021. A total of 4,350 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 262,206 (94.5%) cases have recovered, however 227 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 127 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 5,591 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,941,006 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 10,885 total active cases and 39 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global: 188,128,952 new cases; 4,059,339 deaths and case fatality. Africa: 6,120,88 new cases; 155,502 deaths and case fatality.
