COVID-19 Situation Report: 12 July 2021

Abstract

Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update, 12 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 66 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 277,137 confirmed cases as of 12 July 2021. A total of 4,343 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 262,022 (94.6%) cases have recovered, however 132 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 121 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 4,358 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,924,982 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 10,770 total active cases and 10 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global: 186,411,011 new cases; 4,031,725 deaths and case fatality. Africa: 5,926,224 new case; 151,386 deaths and case fatality.
