COVID-19 Situation Report: 07 July 2021

Abstract

Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update. 07 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 85 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 276,683 confirmed cases as of 07 July 2021. A total of 4,338 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 261,749 (94.6%) cases have recovered, however 201 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 126 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 4,772 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,899,263 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 10,594 total active cases and 93 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global: 184,572,371 new cases; 3,997,640 deaths and fatality. Africa: 5,784,641 new cases; 148,832 deaths and case fatality.
