COVID-19 Situation Report: 06 July 2021

Abstract

Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update. 06 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 95 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 276,598 confirmed cases as of 06 July 2021. A total of 4,335 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 261,656 (94.6%) cases have recovered, however 200 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 129 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 4,839 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,894,491 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 10,605 total active cases and 500 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global: 183,934,913 new cases; 3,985,022 deaths and case fatality. Africa: 5,678,742 new cases; 146,497 deaths and case fatality.
