Abstract

Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update. 05 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 68 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 276,503 confirmed cases as of 05 July 2021. A total of 4,332 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 261,156 (94.4%) cases have recovered, however 197 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 135 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 4,165 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,889,654 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 11,013 total active cases and 131 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global: 183,700,343 cases; 3,981,756 deaths and case fatal. Africa: 5,669,873 new cases; 146,401 deaths and case fatality.
