Abstract
Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) update: 08 Sep. 2020. Global: 181,414 new cases; 27,417,497 confirmed cases and 894,241 deaths. A total of 3,666 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported from 24 countries compared to 3,578 cases reported from 32 countries the previous day (7 September 2020). Ethiopia reported the highest daily number of new cases, at 1,136 (31%), followed by South Africa with 1 079 (30%), Nigeria (296), Algeria (285), Kenya (151), Zambia (116), Zimbabwe (90), Mozambique (90), Madagascar (83) and Côte d'Ivoire (77). Ethiopia: 1136 new cases; 60,784 total cases; 888 new recovered; 22,677 total recovered; 16 new deaths; 949 total deaths.
