Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update: 17 July 2021. Ethiopia reported 79 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 277,615 confirmed cases as of 17 July 2021. A total of 4,354 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.57%. 262,265 (94.5%) cases have recovered, however 229 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 132 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 4,645 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,951,438 RT-PCR and Ag-RDT tests conducted. 10,994 total active cases and 28 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global: 188,984,725 new cases and 4,076,212 Deaths and cases fatality. Africa: 6,172,674 new cases and 156,933 Deaths and cases fatality.
