Abstract
Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) Update. 08 June. 2021. Ethiopia reported 151 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours giving a total 273,175 confirmed cases as of 08 June 2021. A total of 4,220 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the outbreak with a Case Fatality Rate is 1.54%. 247,502 (90.6%) cases have recovered, however 491 confirmed cases are undergoing treatment in the treatment centers of which 271 are in severe condition. In the last 24 hours, 4,426 RT-PCR tests were conducted giving a cumulative 2,759,855 RT-PCR tests conducted. 21,451 total active cases and 619 recovered and discharged on the same day. Global : 173,331,478 new cases; 3,735,571 2.16 Deaths & Case fatality. Africa: 4,951,177 new cases; 133,174 Deaths & Case fatality.
