Africa’s quarterly economic performance and outlook July–September 2020

Abstract

The present edition of the quarterly report provides an analysis of recent economic performance and the envisaged outlook of African economies based primarily on the sectoral impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the continent’s economic activities. The report assesses the extent to which the different economic sectors have been affected by the pandemic since January 2020 and proposes policy recommendations to assist African countries in achieving macroeconomic stability and economic growth as they recover from the crisis.
