Abstract

Address delivered by H.E. Osagyefo Dr.Kwame Nkrumah, president of the republic of Ghana at the conference of the heads of states and governments. At the first gathering of African Heads of State, to which I had the honor of playing host, there were representatives of eight Independent States only. Today, five years later, we meet as the representative of no less than thirty-two States, the quests of HIS Imperial Majesty, Halle Selassle, the First, and the Government and people of Ethiopia. To His Imperial Majesty, I wish to express, on behalf of the Government and people of Ghana my deep appreciation for a most cordial welcome and generous hospitality.
