And the adoption of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) provides an overall development framework for the continent that adopts regional integration as one of its core objectives. Under the AU’s leadership, the other major regional institutions - the ECA, African Development Bank and the Regional Economic Communities have a complementary role to play. | en |
