Report of mission meetings of the policy organs of the Southern African Development Community (SADC)

Abstract

The Policy Organs of SADC comprise the Summit of Heads of State and Government, Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Standing Committee of Officials and Committees of Ministers of the various sectors. The sectoral committees of Ministers meet as frequently as needed, while the Council of Ministers meets two times a year: in January-February and August-September. The Summit meets once a year in the first half of the month of September, preceded by preparatory meetings of Officials and Ministers. The next Summit Meeting is scheduled for September, 1999 in Maputo, Mozambique, while the Council of Ministers will hold its next meeting in January/February 1999 in Lusaka, Zambia.
