dc.description.abstractThis paper focuses on sub-regional seminar on long-term perspectives studies Tangier, Morocco, 5-7 October 1999. The paper is divided into two parts. The first part provides succinct background on the recent history of long-term perspective to development management in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The main objective is to highlight the factors underlying the need for rethinking and revisiting the ways African countries are conducting development management. The second part of the paper discusses the main achievements and lessons of experience.en
