Report of mission: meeting of SADC council of Ministers

Abstract

The Council of Ministers of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) held its regular meeting in Midrand, South Africa.The outcome of the meeting is contained in the document on Council Decisions. Some of the decisions, which may be of concern or interest to ECA (relevant Division noted in brackets) are: Restructuring of SADC Institutions (RCID);Appointment of Executive Secretary (COES); SADC/Japan Cooperation (DISD); Gender and Development (ACW); Paris 21 Conference on Poverty Reduction Strategy Processes (DISD); SADC Consultative Conference 2002 (ESPD, RCID) and SADC/EU Cooperation (ESPD).
