Generate and disseminate gender-disaggregated data

Abstract

This report falls within the framework if the mid term examination of the implementation of the DAKAR plat form for action and the Beijing plan of action .it attempts an assessment of the progress made on the collection, analysis dissemination and use of gender –base data in Africa the fifth Africa regional conference on women held in November 1994 in Dakar Senegal addressed the issue of gender-disaggregated data in terms on widespread development and use insisted on the need to have information and date that would endure the smooth implementation and follow up of the recommendations of the platform the Beijing conference insisted on the production and dissemination of gender based data and information for planning and evaluation purposes within the framework of institution instrument to enhance the development of women
