Within the framework of the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP) development seminar series, a high level round table dialogue on “New approaches to planning for a better achievement of the objectives of agendas 2030 and 2063” has been scheduled for 6 February 2018 at the Institute’s Headquarters in Dakar (Senegal). Ms. Karima Bounemra Ben Soltane, Director of IDEP, explains that the achievement of the agendas 2030 and 2063 objectives will largely depend on the capacity of planners to design, fund, implement and monitor development plans through new approaches. Indeed, it is worth noting that the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) has developed a tool to help member states align national development plans with 2030 and 2063 agendas for the purpose of consistent and integrated implementation.
