Abstract
This was a follow-up mission to the one that was undertaken in connection with the Zambia- Malawi-Mozambique Growth Triangle Initiative launched by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). As was indicated in the report of the first mission (See: ECA/RCID/076/99), this phase was to visit the Growth Triangle catchment area with a team from UNDESA and debrief the Resident Co-ordinator in Lusaka. Unlike the first phase of the mission which was devoted to the collection of some raw data from the Ministries and the private operators, mainly in the capital cities, this phase was in the broadest sense, a field mission.
