The mission was undertaken within the framework of implementing the facilitation aspects identified during the baseline assessment and the development of objectives and strategies for the Second United Nations Transport and Communications Decade for Africa. In response to the request from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the following papers were presented to the seminar and meetings: (i) Manual for Heavy Goods Vehicle Drivers; (ii) Outcome of the first phase of the Human Resources and Institutional Development project (for information); (iii) Brochure on UNTACDA II (for information) (iv) Review of transit charges in the various sub regions (TRANSCOM/651).
