Ce document présente le contenu de chapitre 2 du cours de statistique donné par M. Bastani et organisé à l’IDEP à Dakar en décembre 1965. Ce cours comporte des présentations des séries statistiques, séries numériques, séries classées, étendue, effectifs, fréquences, rôles pratiques pour le groupement des données, la notation Σ et ses propriétés-notion d’effectifs cumulés.
