The following United Nations agencies were also represented: United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) and United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) and UNFPA.This document revisits the main recommendations of the Conference regarding the energy sector and activities conducted in there, implementation by member States, ECA and other sub regional, regional and/or international institutions. It also describes certain remarkable events that have occurred since that Conference and major trends in energy sector management and markets.
