Abstract
The feasibility of the Regional African Satellite Communications Organization (RASCOM) was then executed by the ITU under the auspices of the Inter-Agency Coordinating Committee (IACC) composed of ECA, ADB, AFCAC PATU UNDP UNESCO and URTNA. RASCOM, an intergovernmental commercial satellite organization was therefore created in May 1992 by all the African Ministers of Telecommunications as an outcome of one of the most complete feasibility studies that has ever been conducted in Africa on communications (1987-1991).
