Abstract
The joint ECA- USAID summer school for pre-final year African university students held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 1961 and 1962 has been transferred to IDEP as a part of its regular activity and will be held in the summer of 1964 in Dakar, Republic of Senegal. About 100 students selected from various universities and university colleges in Africa are expected to attend. The program will be run jointly by four eminent guest lecturers and IDEP staff and is expected to last four weeks. The main topic around which the school is being organized is elements of a strategy for African economic development which will be treated in subsidiary subjects, or groups of subjects , relating to its principal aspects.
