Countries should establish information systems and the necessary administrative mechanisms to generate data for monitoring the implementation of their recovery programmes. For this purpose, it is important for each country to designate a focal point for monitoring the implementation of the Programme of Action. The chairman of the UN Inter-Agency Task Force will contact African Governments directly to identify these focal points.
