Regional, subregional and national machineries for the integration of women in development : Report 1979
Abstract
The need to establish Government machinery to assure the full participation of women in national development and international cooperation has been recognized and consistently supported by conferences of African women. The establishment of national commissions was also considered appropriate by the Seminar on Civic and Political Education· of Women, held in Accra, Ghana, in 1968, and by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.(ECA) Regional Meeting on the Role of Women in National Development, held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 1969.
