dc.description.abstractThe report summarizes the Asia/Africa Forum on the Economic Empowerment of Women held in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 16-18, 1997. The forum aimed to promote economic empowerment of women through policy frameworks, exchange of experiences, and Asia-Africa collaboration. Key outcomes included the establishment of a network of focal points for follow-up actions and recommendations for immediate measures such as advocacy, networking, and study tours. The African Centre for Women (ECA) was tasked with coordinating regional efforts and facilitating partnerships between African and Asian women entrepreneurs.en
