The purpose of the paper is to summarize the main proposals made and accepted for the innovative Management Institute which will from the beginning of 1974, help meet the training and development needs of Managers and Administrators of the East African Community, and the Corporations. The creation of the East African Community Management Institute is in response to the expressed determination of the partner states of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to secure more effective, efficient and economical performance in the major executive organizations of the East African Community.
