Abstract
The present issue of Focus on African Industry is mainly devoted to the role of industry and current efforts in economic recovery and development.It reviews the industrialization policies in the light of the economic crisis and the United Nations Program ,of Action for African Economic Recovery and Development(UN-PAAERD).To a significant degree,it outlines the main policies which have shaped the industrialization course in Africa and the strength and weaknesses that have characterized the performance of the industrial sector.
